How do you envision your birth?Have you yearned for a different birth experience? Maybe you would prefer a different birth environment such as giving birth in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by loved ones and a birth team willing to walk along side you as you bring your baby earth-side? Have you wanted a water birth but that has never been a valid option for you in the past?
After 3 1/2 years of intensive training, Karen became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and a South Carolina Licensed Midwife in December 2023 and has been happily assisting families with their homebirths (many of which have been water births) since February 2024. Maybe your vision for your birth is in the location of your choice with the guidance and loving touch of a birth doula by your side? One who will help you feel more comfortable throughout the labor process and one who will encourage your partner and help him feel he is an integral part of your birth. Karen's team of doulas will continue to provide caring, family-centered doula services for mothers and families within an hour of Shelby, NC. Some South Carolina insurances and healthcare sharing groups will reimburse you for homebirth midwifery services. Please contact Karen to discuss your options. Karen can get you reimbursement from FSAs and HSAs as well. |

"You are constructing your own reality with the choices you make … or don’t make. If you really want a healthy pregnancy and joyful birth, and you truly understand that you are the one in control, then you must examine what you have or haven’t done so far to create the outcome you want.”
